Oftentimes, these huge commercial trucks can weigh up to forty times as much as a regular car, which only weigh a maximum of 4,000 pounds.

As per the U.S. Department of Transportation statistics, an average of nine people per day are killed and nearly 202 people are injured by semi-trucks. Additionally, a total of 4,119 people died in large truck crashes in 2019. 67% of these deaths were the drivers and other passengers of the cars, while 16% were truck occupants, and the remaining 15% were pedestrians, motorcyclists, and bicyclists.
